Late Orlantha Ambrose

Orlantha Ambrose was raised in United States by Sri Lankan parents. When she was just seven years old she represented the United States at an International Music Festival in Munich, Germany where she met music’s greatest like Isaac Stern & Itzak Perlman.

After receiving her Masters in Education she dedicated her life to teaching the art of the Violin to children of all backgrounds. She founded a non profit organization “Strings by the sea” and taught the art of the Violin to over 80 students in Sri Lanka. Although the 2004 Tsunami took Ms Ambrose’s life away, her passion to teach music and to assist the poor children on their road to success, through education keeps her spirit very much alive.
