Seven amazing dancers from Los Angeles, Kaushi Gajaweera, Sonali Malalasekara, Dananji Amarasinghe, Parami De Silva, Sayuri Senadeera, Randhara Kotuwelle & Shawn Ratnagoda took part in the Cultural Exchange portion showcasing our beautiful traditional dancing at the Rotary International Assembly in San Diego in January.
They were dressed in beautiful ornate costumes and the onlookers were at awe of this amazing performance. Their teacher/choreographer Prasanna Yamasinghe also performed a traditional Kandyan dance (Ves) with them. When asked about the event Prasanna said that he was so proud of his students and their passion inspires him to be a better teacher.
