Accordingly, Srimali Samarakoon won the gold medal in the women’s 45 kg weight class at the championship in Uzbekistan.
Samarakoon has previously won a silver medal at the 2019 South Asian Games and a silver medal at the 2015 Commonwealth Games and has placed 14th at the 2016 Youth World Championship.
