Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the United States Prasad Kariyawasam says that Sri Lanka has not missed a single step promised in the UN resolution.
During an interview held with CCTV America, he added that the government has taken many measures in order to preserve human rights in the country.
He stated that Sri Lanka has moved forward to a great extent after 30 years of confict and that certain measures taken by Sri Lanka are yet to be taken by developed countries such as America.
As an example Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the United States Prasad Kariyawasam pointed out the establishment of the Missing Persons Offce and that the government is currently working with the UN on the remaining mechanisms.
