A briefing was held by the Office for National Unity & Reconciliation (ONUR) at the BMICH today, for the diplomatic community, so as to update them on the status of reconciliation initiatives by the Government of Sri Lanka.
The heads and representatives of the diplomatic missions were appraised about the work being carried out by ONUR so far and the initiatives planned ahead.
The sessions was chaired by former president Chandrika Kumaratunga, Chairperson of ONUR while other public officials including the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Esala Weerakoon, other ministry secretaries, Director General of ONUR and other distinguished guests participated.
