LONG SHIPS Jaya Container Terminal at Colombo Port hosted two long ships exceeding its total length of 660 meters recently because of growing demand from shipping lines to call at the harbour. The two long ships, MSC Luciana and Ningbo Express, together required 685 meters of berth length. Sri Lanka Ports Authority officials said they were able to handle both vessels at the same time due to inadequate quay length.
