Mr. Kutila Pinto was appointed as Sri Lanka’s first Honorary Consul in the Solomon Islands on 24th of November. He received his Commission of Appointment from High Commissioner Somasundaram Skandakumar in Canberra. Mr Pinto comes with a background in banking and is presently the Executive Director of the Pan Oceania Bank in Honiara. He has expressed a vision to expand the relations between Sri Lanka and Solomon Islands and attract Sri Lankan investors to Solomon Islands especially in the the tourism sector.
