We have undertaken a project of profound importance to Sri Lanka in this hour of need. The National Institute of Infectious Diseases (IDH) has been instrumental in saving thousands of lives during this pandemic without much updated equipment and ICU beds due to the sheer dedication by the medical and nursing staff. The chief Infectious Disease Consultant in the hospital, Dr Ananda Wijewickrama made a formal request to us to fund some much-needed equipment including Trendelenburg beds in ICU, ambuscopes and Ultra Sound machines. With the approval of the Board of Directors and the Ex-CO, SLMANA (Western Region) agreed to that proposal and are raising funds to purchase some of those items with your priceless donations. The tax-deductible charity is undertaken as an emergency project and therefore we will seek your help now to raise money for the following specific items.
