The Sri Lanka Foundation is excited to share the remarkable accomplishments of Jason Rajasinghe and his production company, RAD Productions USA. Jason recently earned a significant accolade at the Chicago/Midwest Emmys, making this his second Emmy win, a feat that builds on his previous achievements. His journey to this success was highlighted on November 2nd, 2024 in Chicago, where RAD Productions USA attended the awards ceremony with two prestigious nominations.

- Categories #504/#505 Outstanding Achievement for Commercial – Single Spot/Campaign:
For the Stoney Acres Farm Commercial, a project showcasing the legacy and spirit of farm-to-table in Athens, Wisconsin. This work had already garnered notable recognition, including a Gold (People’s Telly) and Silver (Directing) at the 45th Telly Awards.
- Category #502 Outstanding Achievement for Branded Content – Short Form Content: For a brand film created for the Portage County Business Council Brand Film, a piece that highlights the story and unique identity of a business council in Wisconsin.
While these two projects didn’t secure Emmy wins, the nominations alone speak volumes about RAD Productions USA’s impact in Wisconsin and beyond. It’s a testament to their commitment to excellence and creativity, qualities that have allowed them to compete alongside the best in the Chicago/Midwest region.
The highlight of the evening, however, was Jason Rajasinghe’s personal achievement. On his third nomination this year, Jason clinched the Emmy for Category #419 Outstanding Achievement for Nostalgia – Short and Long Form Content. He was honored for his role as a Cinematographer on the Field of Dreams: AAGPBL 80th Reunion project, produced by Discover Mediaworks. This Emmy is a significant milestone, establishing Jason as a two-time Chicago/Midwest Emmy award-winning filmmaker.
For those interested in catching a glimpse of the celebratory moments, RAD Productions has shared a recap of the Chicago/Midwest Emmys on their Instagram and Facebook. Jason and Hope proudly represented Sri Lanka, both wearing modern Sri Lankan fashion by LOVI—a fitting nod to Jason’s heritage and a reflection of their mission to bring Sri Lankan culture to the global stage.
RAD Productions USA, along with their Sri Lankan entity, iFilm Sri Lanka, remains a powerful voice in the world of visual storytelling. With a unique blend of creativity and cultural pride, Jason Rajasinghe and his partners continue to make waves, not just in the Midwest but worldwide. We are proud to have collaborated with them in the past, such as sourcing Sri Lankan dancers for a special project in LA, and we look forward to future partnerships.
As Jason splits his time between the United States and Sri Lanka, his dual roots enrich his storytelling, making him a celebrated figure in both regions. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Jason, his family, and the RAD Productions USA team for their achievements and for representing Sri Lanka on such a prestigious platform.
