The enrollment day of Sri Lanka Foundation Academy of Performing Arts was successfully held on the 19th of January 2020. The participation of many students and parents added color to this beautiful event. The parents got the opportunity to talk to the staff members regarding the procedures and requirements of Accreditation Commission for the school. The video of 2019 was much enjoyed by all the students and their parents. SLF Academy of Performing Arts is most fortunate this year to have two new teachers; Mrs. Sevwandi Rajapaksha, who is an extremely talented and a highly qualified in choreographing Sri Lankan Kandyan and South Indian Bharatanatyam Dances. Dhyan Hewage, who is a popular musician and a music director.
Rehearsing for the Independence Day Celebrations:
After the enrollment, the students started rehearsals for the Independence Day 2020. Three beautiful choreography to symbolize the beauty of the culture, religion, and harmony among all races of Sri Lanka will be performed by the students at this celebration.
Prospects of Sri Lanka Foundation Academy of Performing Arts in its Founder’s Eye:
2020 is going to be an epic milestone in the long journey of the SLF Academy of Performing Arts. The doors are open for every Sri Lankan in Los Angeles to connect with their motherland through the school.This year Sinhalese language classes will be initiated to fullfill the timely need of teaching the children their native language. The students will be able to learn all traditional Sri Lankan dancing and fusions of Indian and other dancing genres as well this year. And with their excellent performances, fame, and glory for the students of SLF Academy of Performing Arts will be inevitable!
