Revive to Survive, a 501(c) 3 tax exempt organization is holding its annual fundraiser “Aussie Threads’, a gala fashion show to raise funds for pediatric cancer patients at the National Cancer Institute in Maharagama on the 13th of June, 2015, at Crowne Plaza Downtown-Houston. Aussie Threads will feature Australian designer Jason Chetcuti and fashions from the Delmonicole Clothing Line designed by LaTarsha Williams, an upcoming designer from Houston. Jason was a 2009 Project Runway finalist and designed Miss Australia, Olivia Wells’ evening gown for the 2014 Miss Universe Pageant. All proceed will be utilized to fund the project “Enhance for a Chance”, which plants to provide the entire need of Neupogen (Filgrastim) for the financially destitute cancer patients in the pediatric ward at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in Sri Lanka.
RtoS was started by two high school students from Clear Lake to help needy pediatric cancer patients. Both are currently pursuing careers in medicine at University of Houston and University of Texas at Dallas. The event will be graced by the President of the University of Houston, Dr. Renu Khator. The show will hosted by Corbett Parker, councilman, City of Sugarland and Miss Texas 2014, Rachel White.
