FATHER AND SON PILOT A PLANE AND ARRIVE IN KATUNAYAKE

This is how the father and Son piloted a plane to Katunayake surprising everyone.

A father and a son piloted a plane to their home country and landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake last night, marking a significant milestone in the history of Sri Lankan civil aviation.

Uditha Danawatta as the main pilot and his son Kaveesha Danwatte together piloted the Air plane AK-047 belonging to Air Asia, from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Uditha’s beloved wife arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport with a bouquet of flowers to welcome them.

Mr. Uditha Danawatta stated the following;

This flight is very special for me. I was piloting the Air Asia flight with my son from Kuala Lumpur airport to Katunayake. My only son, Kaveesha Danwatte was my co-pilot. This was a dream that we were hoping for, this is a moment when Sri Lankans can be happy. This is an opportunity we can be proud as Sri Lankans.

Assistant Pilot Officer Kaveesha Danawatta stated the following;

This has been a dream since my childhood. I was able to make that dream come true after 22 years. So, I would like to thank my dear parents and teachers who helped me achieve this dream.

The Air Asia flight that was piloted by the father and Son took flight again at 10.55 pm from the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport leaving to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
