A street parade was organized by the Sri Lankan Dance Academy on March 1, 2015 to support the Sri Lankan Cricket team. Sri Lankan supporters from Wellington gathered together at the Wellington waterfront to showcase their Sri Lankan pride. The parade was led by a Kasa Karayas informing the public of the parade. A beautiful sea of Sri Lankan flags filled the waterfront with beautiful dancers dressed in traditional attire, drummers of all ages and cricket fans in their blue and yellow attire.
