FUNDRAISER ORGANIZED BY ‘THATHJITH DANCE SCHOOL’ to SUPPORT A NEEDY SRI LANKAN STUDENT TO UNDERGO AN ‘EMERGENCY OPERATION’ in INDIA

The students of ‘Thathjith Dance School’ are children of Sri Lankan origin who live in the city of Los Angeles and study the Sri Lankan dancing traditions, as an extra-curricular activity in addition to their regular schooling in USA. They got together and launched their first charity fundraiser in 2016 to support the victims and affected families in rural areas of Sri Lanka during the floods in 2016.

They have launched their second fundraiser to support a needy Sri Lankan student to undergo her surgery related to her kidneys. It has been a birth defect and she is currently struggling with this severe medical condition. This particular surgery will cost close to Rs.80 lacks in India.Thathjith Dance school students are planning to launch a massive fundraiser in this connection during the month of April 2017. The campaigns will be conducted at the Sri Lankan New year festival at the Woodley Park on April 8th, Dhamma Vijaya Buddhist Vihara on April 16th, Anaheim Temple on April 26th, 2017.

They expect a minimum contribution of $ 5 from any individual who would be interested in participating in this noble cause.
