London born Sri Lankan artist Yasodhara Pathanjali will be presenting her first solo exhibition concluding a year of work that has seen her explore the way that we see nature in different contexts. Hugely influenced by the traditional art of her parents’ homeland,Sri Lanka. Yasodhara’s paintings evoke a love for Sri Lanka that cannot be missed. From the motifs to the themes to the vibrant colours, it is hard not to feel transported to a very Sri Lankan world.
Passionate about children, Yasodhara raised funds from the sale of her painted bricks collection at the end of her exhibition to provide art materials to orphan children in Sri Lanka. The exhibition was held at the Capston House in London from October 31 to November 1st. For more information about her works visit www.facebook.com/yasodharapathanjali
