Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festival

Join the Sri Lanka America Association of Southern California for Sinhala and Tamil New Year Festival at Charles H. Wilson Park (2200 Crenshaw Blvd, Torrance, CA 90501) on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Event Schedule:
· 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Traditional Breakfast for All Religious Heads
· 9:30 AM – 10:00 AM: 52nd Annual General Meeting
· 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: New Year Rituals (Awurudu Charithraya)
· 10:30 AM – 3:00 PM: Traditional New Year Games
· 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Cultural Show and Beauty Contest (Awurudu Kumara Kumaraya)

Additional Details:
· Complimentary traditional Sri Lankan breakfast will be served from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
· Sri Lanka’s Premium Entertainment Channel, TV Derana, will cover the event live with award-winning TV Presenter Chatura de Alwis.
· Booths are available for Sri Lankan small business owners to promote their products and services.
