Evanjelin wins Miss Elegance

Evanjelin Francia Elchmanar entered Miss Junior Teen Great Britain October 25th 2015 representing Birmingham. She won the award for “Miss Elegance” and she became the 2nd Runner up as “Miss Junior Teen Great Britain 2015”. Among over 95 other contestants from all over the United Kingdom entered the competition and Evanjelin came 2nd for the title. Evanjelin does all her own makeup and hairdressing and her fashionable and amazing dresses are sometimes made by her Mother’s own hand. Evanjelin was born on Christmas day in the year of the Millennium; she was heralded in France as being the first baby born on Christmas day in that special year so as soon as she was born Evanjelin was getting awards! Evangelin said that her heart was in Sri Lanka, although she was born in France and now a citizen of Britain. Her parents are Shanthi Rajakaruna of Galle and Givaraju Erajsingham Elchmanar of Batticaloa Although football is usually a sport known for boys, Evanjelin is heavily interested in it, having played with her two brothers at home throughout her childhood; she became school team Captain of the girls football team, at Bishop Challenor Birmingham, United Kingdom. She loves netball, basketball, tennis, hockey, cricket and she was made captain of all of these teams and also plays for and represents Birmingham’s basketball team. She has been a member of “Aegon Classic Ball Crew” since July 2014 where she meets World Famous Tennis players. Evanjelin has raised hundreds of pounds for a Hindu charity called “Ariya Samaj” by learning to dance Bartha which is a style of Asian cultural traditional dance, and she raised over £8,000 for the charity by performing dances at many venues across Birmingham. Evanjelin is raising funds for a charity supporting children who have cancer.
